Alnor Sp. z o.o., a leading manufacturer and distributor of modern ventilation systems and HVAC components, faced the challenge of effectively managing a rapidly growing product portfolio comprising over 100,000 indexes and 1,000 product groups. Traditional methods of creating and updating PDF catalogs, product sheets, and technical and commercial documentation were becoming time-consuming, costly, and prone to errors, which directly affected the speed of response to market needs. The company needed a central tool for managing product information that would also automate the distribution of this information in a consistent and up-to-date form, reducing the workload of teams and minimizing the risk of errors.
In response to these needs, Alnor once again began working with LemonMind to implement a PIM (Product Information Management) system based on the Pimcore platform. This solution enabled centralized product data management and automated the process of preparing and publishing PDF catalogs, catalog cards, and product group lists. The key assumption of the project was the full integration of the tool with the company's daily processes – from data editing and product variant management, through multilingualism, to the distribution of technical and marketing materials to various sales channels.
In this case study, we present a detailed implementation process and describe how the new system has enabled Alnor not only to reduce the time needed to prepare materials, but also to streamline team work and provide customers with quick access to always up-to-date, consistent product documentation, both online and offline.
