Alnor Sp. z o.o., a leading manufacturer and distributor of modern ventilation systems and HVAC components, faced the challenge of effectively managing a rapidly growing product portfolio comprising over 100,000 indexes and 1,000 product groups. Traditional methods of creating and updating PDF catalogs, product sheets, and technical and commercial documentation were becoming time-consuming, costly, and prone to errors, which directly affected the speed of response to market needs. The company needed a central tool for managing product information that would also automate the distribution of this information in a consistent and up-to-date form, reducing the workload of teams and minimizing the risk of errors.
In response to these needs, Alnor once again began working with LemonMind to implement a PIM (Product Information Management) system based on the Pimcore platform. This solution enabled centralized product data management and automated the process of preparing and publishing PDF catalogs, catalog cards, and product group lists. The key assumption of the project was the full integration of the tool with the company's daily processes – from data editing and product variant management, through multilingualism, to the distribution of technical and marketing materials to various sales channels.
In this case study, we present a detailed implementation process and describe how the new system has enabled Alnor not only to reduce the time needed to prepare materials, but also to streamline team work and provide customers with quick access to always up-to-date, consistent product documentation, both online and offline.
To address the issue of increasing complexity in product data management and streamline the documentation preparation process, Alnor, in cooperation with LemonMind, implemented a PIM system on the Pimcore platform, enhanced with dedicated document generation automation modules.
The key benefit of this implementation is the ability to create PDF catalogs and catalog cards directly from the system using an intuitive document editor. Any user authorized to work in Pimcore can prepare both individual product cards and complete product group catalogs in just a few steps, without the need to involve additional departments or use DTP tools. All you need to do is select the products or groups, and the system automatically retrieves the current data, arranges it according to a defined template, and generates a ready-to-use PDF file.
Thanks to this solution, Alnor has gained consistency and control over its product documentation while simplifying everyday operations. Process automation eliminates duplication of work, shortens the time to market for new products, and enables quick preparation of materials for different markets – including in multiple languages. All content management and document generation activities are carried out within a single, central Pimcore environment, which greatly simplifies maintenance and allows teams to focus on key business tasks.

In Pimcore, product data – descriptions, technical parameters, photos, diagrams, variants – are entered only once. The system then uses them repeatedly, ensuring consistency and eliminating the risk of errors.
The PDF document editor developed by LemonMind for Pimcore enables the generation of complete materials with a single click. Simply drag the “product group” object from the PIM tree to the document template, and the system automatically creates a professional PDF file.
The generated documents contain the title and description of the product group, photos and technical drawings, a product code reading diagram, as well as a dynamic table of variants with key parameters. Importantly, Alnor catalogs are generated in six language versions.
The user selects the language, and Pimcore automatically substitutes all data based on previously entered content, without the need to duplicate editorial work. The system also automatically generates a table of contents and allows you to create catalogs based on marketing categories, regardless of the PIM tree structure.
The implementation brought Alnor concrete, measurable results that directly translated into improved operational efficiency and a stronger market position:
The central repository guarantees that the information is up-to-date and correct, which builds customer confidence.
A process that took days now takes minutes, allowing products to be brought to market faster.
The elimination of manual typesetting and fewer errors represent real financial and time savings.
Identical, up-to-date data across all channels - from PDF, to website, to B2B platforms and mobile apps - reinforces the brand image.
The ability to instantly create thematic, export or industry-specific directories allows us to better respond to specific customer inquiries.
The finished PDF catalog can be published to a website or purchasing platform directly from Pimcore with a single click, without the need for additional resources.
The automation of product documentation generation in Pimcore, implemented for Alnor, is particularly recommended for companies in industries such as HVAC, industrial, electronics, construction, chemicals, tools or technical components. If you manage a large number of products and their variants, need to regularly generate up-to-date product sheets, catalogs and PDF documents, and want to integrate this documentation with other sales and communication channels - this solution will bring a revolution to your company.

LemonMind's cooperation with Alnor does not end with the implementation of automated documentation generation. The next stage of the project involves integrating the Pimcore system with Alnor's main website and B2B store dedicated to its business partners. In practice, this means that all PDF catalog cards created and updated in the PIM system will be automatically linked and made available on the website and purchasing platform, without the need for manual publication and file management.
As a result, users – both customers and B2B partners – will have constant access to product documents that are always up to date, centrally managed, and generated based on the latest data. This approach not only allows for a quick response to changes in the offer, but also simplifies customer service processes, shortens the time needed to provide information, and strengthens the consistency of product communication.
The implementation of this integration will make Pimcore not only the main repository of product information, but also an active tool for publishing and distributing content – fully automated and accessible to all sales channels and market communication. This is an important step towards modern, multi-channel offer management and building Alnor's competitive advantage.

LemonMind's implementation of the Pimcore system for Alnor Sp. z o.o. is an excellent example of how a company with an extensive product portfolio (over 100,000 indexes) and complex technical and commercial documentation needs can revolutionize its processes. Prior to the implementation, Alnor struggled with the challenges of manually creating and updating PDF catalogs and product sheets in a time-consuming and costly manner.
With the implementation of Pimcore, Alnor gained a centralized tool for managing product information and, crucially, advanced features for automatically generating these materials. The solution provided by LemonMind made it possible to create full-featured, multilingual (support for 6 language versions) catalogs and product sheets with a single click, directly from the Pimcore editor. Functionalities such as dynamic variant tables, automatic table of contents, generation of materials on the basis of marketing categories and integration with IDML files significantly improved the work.
This translated into measurable benefits for Alnor:
The project not only optimized current processes, but also laid a solid foundation for further integration of product data in an omnichannel model, strengthening Alnor's position as a leader in the HVAC industry. This case study proves that the strategic implementation of PIM with automation features is crucial for companies striving for efficiency, scalability, and maintaining a competitive advantage.
