Solution: Pimcore as an integrated platform for selling customized products

The Pimcore platform was chosen because it offers a combination of flexible PIM, CMS, and e-commerce modules in a single tool. This allowed for the creation of a tailor-made solution, just like Holzpiloten's furniture.

Key implementation steps:

  1. Data migration and modeling in PIM: Product data was transferred from Magento 2, and then its structure was completely rebuilt in the Pimcore platform's PIM module. A flexible data model was created that handled all attributes and configuration options without any problems.
  2. Creation of a Product Configurator (CMS): Using the flexibility of the Pimcore CMS module, a new, intuitive graphical interface for product configuration was designed and implemented. The website's appearance was also refreshed, maintaining consistency with Holzpiloten's visual identity.
  3. Flexible Ordering Process (Digital Commerce): The Pimcore Digital Commerce module allowed us to create a custom ordering process that reflects the company's unique approach to customer service. The CRM area was automated without losing the personal touch of communication.
