A modern website for a modern product

In 2020, Flowair launched a new product - the Slim air curtain. The new product also means a new strategy of how the product will function in the market and an online shop that encourages end customers to buy. Since the device is distinguished by its design, which was confirmed by the Oscar of Design received in 2021, also the eCommerce platform implemented on the basis of the Pimcore system had to meet high requirements of aesthetics and ergonomics. 

We proposed to implement an eCommerce system with a Product Information Management [PIM] system based on Pimcore. Pimcore is an extremely flexible solution, which makes it our number one choice for the vast majority of implementations. The platform in the Community version can be used as a central product information database (PIM) or as a content management system (CMS). Pimcore allows building graphically unique interfaces for websites in traditional technologies as well as in headless technology. 

In order to highlight and show off the design of the Slim curtain, LemonMind proposed combining an image and information website with an online shop with a unique design. A modern product website was created to show the advantages of the Slim air curtain, as well as an intuitive shop dedicated to the product. Thanks to the capabilities of the Pimcore system, the information pages were built from custom designed content blocks and bricks, allowing the client to make changes on their own, edit the appearance of subpages and quickly create dedicated landing pages for custom marketing campaigns. Expanding with new subpages is quick and easy. 

As the platform supports online sales channels, no one needs to be convinced how important are the SEO activities. Thanks to the Pimcore system, we have ready-made solutions to optimize your website for search engines using the principles of on-site SEO. We have at our disposal mechanisms of optimization and editing of graphic resources, automatic generation of thumbnails adjusted to a device on which they are displayed, possibility to use modern file formats [including WebP] or fast completion of metadata for pages and graphic resources.

The online shop was based on Coreshop, an e-commerce plug-in for Pimcor. Besides using standard solutions, we used our own bundles that allowed for integration with logistics service platforms of courier companies (Geis, GLS) and payment operators (Przelewy24). The Pimcore system was also integrated with the ERP system to which orders are sent for further processing and organization of the process of completion and delivery to the customer. 
 

Backing the implementation on the Pimcore system allowed us to create a modern online shop supported by a website that reflects the design and innovation of the Slim curtain. Integrations with couriers, payment system and ERP system allowed us to streamline the purchase process as well as logistics.
