Implementation of an online sales platform for e-learning

Learnetic - founded in 2010 in Gdansk, Poland - is a leader in the creation and implementation of innovative educational solutions. Thanks to their inclusive approach, the technologies developed by Learnetic have gained recognition both in Poland and internationally. Their programmes, platforms and tools are used by schools, local governments, educational institutions, publishers and ministries of education.

Challenge

Learnetic needed a state-of-the-art e-commerce system to sell its educational products that would allow:

Purchase of multiple independent products by subscription.
Option to purchase individual products and more favourably priced packages.
Transparent presentation of purchase costs to the end customer, broken down into monthly and annual prices.
Simple registration/log-in and integration with existing e-learning platform.
Automatic management of access to purchased products on the e-learning platform.
A ‘Customer Shopping’ panel where users could manage their subscriptions and make new purchases.

Implementation

We realised the project in several steps:

Creation of a Price List

The price list has been configured in Pimcore, allowing flexible management of product and package prices.
The graphic layer of the price list was produced as a web application mapping the client's UX/UI design.

Building e-Commerce Applications

A subscription and order management application has been developed for administrators, integrated with the Pimcore system.
The app allows users to easily make purchases and manage subscriptions.

Integration with the e-learning platform

The e-commerce system has been integrated into the client's e-learning platform, allowing access to purchased products to be automatically allocated.
When a purchase is made, the system transmits information about the products purchased and the subscription period to the platform, which manages access to the educational content.

Integration with the Settlement System

The e-commerce system has been integrated with an external billing system, ensuring secure and efficient payment processing.

The ‘Customer Shopping’ panel

A dashboard has been created where users can review their purchases, check the validity of licences and manage subscriptions (e.g. cancellation of automatic renewals).
