SUPPLIER DATA ONBOARDING

openProd: AI import of supplier data into your PIM.

openProd imports supplier PDFs and spreadsheets into Pimcore, Akeneo or Ergonode.

Who it is for

Supplier onboarding should not start with another spreadsheet.

Every new source format triggers the same manual decisions about fields, units, classifications and quality. openProd turns them into a process you can control and repeat. A pilot makes sense when:

May not fit if a few suppliers send clean, stable files: a standard import is enough. openProd works before the PIM and does not replace it. Compare with a standard import →

  • You receive product data from many suppliers every month.
  • Supplier files are PDFs, data sheets or spreadsheets that change shape.
  • You classify products in ETIM or ECLASS.
  • You are implementing a new PIM or migrating a catalogue.
  • New suppliers wait too long before their products go on sale.

Awards and appearances

openProd on stage in 2026.

openProd is built by LemonMind, a Pimcore Platinum Partner and Ergonode partner working on product data since 2010.

How it works

Four steps from a supplier file to your PIM.

  1. 01

    Reads

Supplier files as they arrive, with every value linked back to its source.

  2. 02

    Maps

Values matched to your attributes, families, dictionaries and codes; units converted.

  3. 03

    You review

Only values that need a decision; changes visible before saving and reversible.

  4. 04

    Imports

Approved data goes to your PIM with data sheets and images.

Capabilities

Control at every step of onboarding.

  • Supplier files as they arrive

PDF tables, spreadsheets with merged cells and shifted columns, images and e-mail text in one process, each value linked to its place in the source.

  • Mapping to your data model

Values matched to attributes, product families, dictionaries and codes, with units converted and the product family suggested.

  • Only uncertain values to review

Your team sees only the values that need a decision, not every field of every product.

  • Human approval and undo

Changes are visible before saving, and each one can be undone through version history.

  • PIM connectors, API and MCP

A Pimcore connector in the Pimcore Store, imports to Akeneo and Ergonode, a REST API and an MCP server for AI tools.

  • Your own instance

A managed service in a private cloud, on an instance for your company only.

openProd or a standard import?

A standard import with column mapping is enough when suppliers send clean, stable files. openProd is for messy, changing files from many suppliers.

FAQ

Before a demo or pilot.

What is openProd?

An AI platform for importing supplier product data into a PIM. It reads PDF, Excel and CSV files, maps values to your data model and shows for decision only what it is not sure about. More in supplier product onboarding.

Does openProd replace a PIM?

No. openProd works before the PIM and prepares data for it. You keep managing the catalogue in Pimcore, Akeneo, Ergonode or another system. More in why we built openProd.

Which PIMs does openProd work with?

Pimcore, Akeneo and Ergonode, and other systems through the REST API. It also has an MCP server for AI tools.

Does openProd work with my online shop?

openProd works before the shop. It prepares complete parameters, descriptions and images from suppliers, and your PIM sends them to a B2C shop, a B2B platform and marketplaces, for example VTEX, OroCommerce, Shopware or your own shop. A new supplier then no longer means weeks of retyping data sheets before products can be sold.

Which files does openProd read?

Data sheets and catalogues in PDF, XLSX and CSV spreadsheets, product images, and text such as supplier e-mails.

Does the AI save data on its own?

No. The AI proposes values and shows where it took them from. Your team approves changes before they are saved, and each one can be undone.

How much does openProd cost?

It starts with a pilot of fixed scope and price, followed by a subscription with a monthly pool of AI credits. The quote is based on your files and your PIM; details are on openprod.io/pricing.

How does a pilot run?

In four steps. Connection: we connect openProd to your PIM. Configuration: we set up the data model, dictionaries and rules. Pilot: we test openProd on your supplier files, in a scope and at a price agreed in advance. Launch: your team works in openProd every day and we add more suppliers.

Where is the data processed?

openProd runs as a managed service in a private cloud, on an instance for your company only. Details are in the Trust Center on openprod.io.
